Audi and TOMS Team Up for Kids Who Need Shoes

If you love Audi for making an incredible car that makes driving a pleasure, you will love them even more knowing that they also have their heart in the right place, on their sleeve, and on their feet.
You may have seen the commercials this summer where Audi shows a pair of stylish red-trimmed brown espadrille flats that every customer who buys or leases an Audi received during the Summer of Audi Sales Event.  These exclusively designed shoes are not just a status symbol that you are an Audi owner, nor are they simply a beautiful and comfortable pair of summer shoes, they are a charitable gift that keeps giving.  These Alpargata shoes by TOMS can be worn with pride and hope as they are part of Audi’s campaign to give 55,000 shoed to children in need.
In case you are not familiar with TOMS, as I am always surprised to learn that some people have not heard of this incredible company, for every pair of shoes they sell, they give one pair of shoes to a child who need shoes.  This can be life changing for children who live in places where shoes can prevent disease, enable them to walk to school, and in general have a basic item of physical comfort that most of us have a closet full of and take for granted.

“Through TOMS One for One giving program Audi will help change the lives of thousands of children in the United States and empower new customers to be a part of this movement,” said Loren Angelo, Director of Marketing, Audi of America. “With TOMS, we found a natural partnership. Audi aligns with likeminded companies that challenge the conventions of design and share a passion for progressive ideas.”
The limited-edition TOMS classic slip-on is made of ash gray coated canvas and features red stitching detail with the Audi rings appearing on the inner lining and outer side tag. The exclusive Audi by TOMS shoe was given to customers this summer with every Audi sold or leased.
So if you see someone wearing these terrific mocs, be sure to compliment them, and to thank them, for taking a step toward making a difference for others.
